Big picture, there are really only about 3 top-level reasons people use the internet. The first is research and education. The second is shopping, marketing, commerce. The last is entertainmet, like looking at pictures of cat heads in bread (yea, that was a thing for a while). To be honest, most people do more of the latter than any of the former, but it wasnt so long ago that the web was a much different beast and sites full of pictures was not a reality.

Being a digital marketing company, we tend to spend 8 hours a day, or more, on the internet. It's really both a blessing, and a curse. We spend countless hours reading through the latest SEO news, google algorithm changes, and current web design trends, all while perfecting our web development craft.

When most people hear the term, SEO, their first response is, "SE-what?" SEO simply means Search Engine Optimization. Basically, it's the process that web designers and digital marketers use to make your website more appealing to search engines, thus optimizing it, in hopes of appearing higher in search results.

Thad recently guest posted on the Sells Agency blog about a hot topic that seems to be making the rounds on every SEO site these days. He posed the question, "is SEO really dead?" Before you sound the alarms, take a moment to consider a few of his points.

We preach the benefits of social media to many of our clients, and for good reason. Social media isn't going away anytime soon, and even the experts at Google have admitted to the fact that search engines in the coming years are going to be incorporating social shares into their ranking algorithms.

Our project manager, Sarah, recently wrote a blog post for our sister agency's blog on SEO. She emphasizes that SEO should be treated as a marathon, instead of a sprint - as an ongoing process that requires time, effort, and patience.
